Fundación eAtlantic Fundazioa is a non-profit organisation based in the European Atlantic area, with its headquarters in the Basque Country. It was created with the aim of contributing to the deepening of the European Union’s integration project, from the perspective of its Atlantic seaboard and grounded in a model of governance that acknowledges a stronger role for the levels of government closest to the citizens.

At the current crossroads, the European Union must define an institutional and social model capable of generating trust among citizens and bringing together capacities and shared will around an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable project—one that promotes well-being and prosperity while strengthening social and territorial cohesion. Moreover, the EU must assert itself as a relevant geopolitical actor and create the conditions for its territories to fully realise their potential.

The foundation aspires to become an open and plural forum for reflection and action, with a strong capacity for dialogue and policy proposals—a meeting point for actors from the Atlantic seaboard and the EU’s sub-state governments.
