Active working groups

Grupos de trabajo activos
Here you can learn about the working groups launched by Fundación eAtlantic Fundazioa, which are currently active. We invite you to explore their profiles, learn about their activities, and discover the debates and policy proposals they generate — all aimed at building a more cohesive, inclusive, and resilient European Union, with participatory governance and full integration of its Atlantic seaboard.
Working Group: “The Future of the Single Market and European Competitiveness: A Perspective from the European Atlantic Seaboard”
Work in progress
The working group aims to territorialise the Letta and Draghi reports, that is, to translate their strategies into concrete measures for the Atlantic seaboard.
To this end, work is structured around three levels:

✔︎ Identifying the most relevant proposals and recommendations to foster prosperity along the European Atlantic seaboard.
✔︎ Analysing territorial specificities that may slow down and/or accelerate their implementation, and formulating appropriate adaptation pathways.
✔︎ Identifying and/or proposing key Atlantic-scale flagship projects to drive the competitiveness and prosperity of the Atlantic seaboard, while ensuring their integration into the Single Market.

After an initial analysis, it has been decided that the working group will focus on recommendations and proposals relating to:

✔︎ Interconnections
✔︎ Energy
✔︎ Innovation and digitalisation + V freedom
✔︎ Decarbonisation and competitiveness
✔︎ Financing – the Single Financial Market

Over the coming months, a process of consultation and engagement will be rolled out with key Atlantic stakeholders (both public and private) in each area, in order to gather and analyse their contributions and proposals.
The resulting report will have a strongly action-oriented character, focused on enhancing competitiveness and analysing specific policy areas to provide an innovative and sector-based perspective. Its main objective is to translate the general guidelines of the Letta and Draghi reports into a specific roadmap for the Atlantic seaboard, through the identification of:

✔︎ Implementation mechanisms
✔︎ Key stakeholders to be involved
✔︎ Feasible flagship projects
Added value:
✔︎ Aligning plans and investments with the EU Strategic Agenda up to 2029.
✔︎ Identifying Atlantic-scale flagship projects and embedding them within European initiatives.
✔︎ Detecting obstacles and seeking ways to overcome them.
✔︎ Consolidating a permanent dialogue space among Atlantic stakeholders.
Additional objectives:

✔︎ Policy influencing: building consensus around regional priorities and positioning them on the European agenda.
✔︎ Support for the Atlantic Macro-Region: contributing to the definition of its strategic priorities.
